Tropical is the only day cruise that combines Lan Ha Bay with Cat Ba Island itself - you get Trung Trang Cave, the Cat Ba National Park Museum and an electric-car ride through the jungle, plus private Tra Bau Lagoon where other day boats don't go, a water slide, jacuzzi and inflatable playground. It's a fuller, more adventurous day than the standard Halong core route.
The $58 is the from-price for a bus transfer in a larger group. Depending on your group size and transfer choice it ranges roughly $50-68 per person (self-transfer is cheaper, a private limousine is more). Tell me your group size and I'll confirm the exact rate.
