Heritage Line Ginger Cruise
Heritage Line Ginger is a luxury traditional junk (launched 2018) sailing Lan Ha Bay and Cat Ba Island, with just 12 suites across 3 decks for an intimate, low-capacity voyage. Its signature is a near-360-degree glass-enclosed restaurant with an open kitchen; the terrace deck adds a 4-season outdoor jacuzzi pool, a library lounge and a spa.
Scored by our Halong cruise team, who spend their season on these waters. We rate each boat the way a returning guest would - cabins, dining, crew, itinerary and value - not the way a listing does.
Ginger is one of Lan Ha's genuinely luxurious junks. Just twelve suites, every one a generous 37m2 or larger with a private balcony and a proper bathtub, and the near 360-degree glass restaurant with its open kitchen is the real showpiece. The sundeck jacuzzi pool and spa punch above the boat's size, though it sails only a single night so the pace stays quick, and the cancellation terms are unusually strict with a full refund only beyond 45 days out.

That's the appeal - Ginger is an intimate luxury junk (launched 2018) with only 12 suites, a near-360-degree glass restaurant with an open kitchen, a 4-season outdoor jacuzzi pool and a spa. You get a near-private, culturally rich voyage on the quiet Lan Ha route with a rare visit to Viet Hai Village
Two things: cancellation is stricter than most boats - free only more than 45 days out, then 20% at 31-45 days, 50% at 16-30, 100% inside 15 days, so book when dates are firm. And entrance fees, taxes and the Hanoi transfer are not included, plus a holiday surcharge applies over Christmas/New Year/Lunar New Year
