Indochine Cruise
Indochine Cruise is a 5-star overnight boat sailing Lan Ha Bay and Cat Ba, with ~20 years of experience and a design that blends French colonial and traditional Vietnamese styles. Four decks and 43 cabins (up to ~110 guests), two restaurants (Tonkin + An Nam), a spa, a Cochinchine Lounge, an art gallery, a swimming pool, a mini golf course at the bow and a 1,100m² sundeck with a sky lounge. It runs the Dark & Bright Cave + Trung Trang Cave route.
Scored by our Halong cruise team, who spend their season on these waters. We rate each boat the way a returning guest would - cabins, dining, crew, itinerary and value - not the way a listing does.
This is one of the more generously specced boats on the quieter Lan Ha and Cat Ba side: five cabin classes from a 32m2 Junior Suite up to an 80m2 President Suite, every one with a private balcony and bathtubs from the Indochine Suite upward, plus a real swimming pool, spa, mini golf and a 1,100m2 sundeck. The trade-off is scale, at 43 cabins and around 110 guests it reads more floating resort than intimate junk, and four decks served by stairs only (no elevator) will not suit anyone with mobility limits. Value is strong for a genuine 5-star, from roughly $157 per guest on the 2D1N, but note the pricing here is indicative and the operator identity still needs confirming (this is not Indochina Junk or Indochina Sails).
