A boutique heritage boat by Lux Cruises Group (launched 2019), themed on Bach Thai Buoi, Vietnam's early-20th-century shipping pioneer - a bronze statue and skylit atrium, an onboard art gallery, an Indochina library and a piano lounge. Four decks, 20 suites for 40-60 guests, with the La Piscine pool and pool bar, two restaurants and three bars. Every suite has a bathtub and a sea-view balcony.

The suites are genuinely spacious for this bay, 33 to 46m2 with a bathtub and a private sea-view balcony in every single one, and the La Piscine pool plus the art gallery, Indochina library and piano lounge give the boat a cultural depth most Halong boats simply do not have. At 40 to 60 guests it reads boutique but not truly intimate, so the pool and restaurants can feel busy at peak dates, and there is no spa or lift across the four decks. For what it charges in the quiet corners of Lan Ha, though, this is one of the strongest all-suite values on the water.

- Evening: royal-themed dinner at Le Tonkin, squid fishing
