L'Amour Junk
L'Amour Junk, managed by Indochina Junk Company, is a private wooden boat built in 2007, styled in traditional Vietnamese teak and oak woodwork with large windows and open decks. With a single en-suite cabin it offers complete privacy - an intimate, romantic experience for honeymooners across Halong Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay. The junk is just 17m long × 5.2m wide, with a small private crew and a sundeck built for sunset and stargazing.
Scored by our Halong cruise team, who spend their season on these waters. We rate each boat the way a returning guest would - cabins, dining, crew, itinerary and value - not the way a listing does.
L'Amour is exactly what it says: a whole wooden junk, one cabin, chartered for two, with your own captain, chef and guide on the quiet Bai Tu Long route. That exclusivity is the draw, not the hardware. The cabin is a snug 10.5m2 with a two-sided picture window but no balcony, on a boat built back in 2007, and there is only the one room so no space to grow. If you want amenities or room for the kids this isn't it, but for a honeymoon where privacy beats square metres, few boats deliver it as completely.

No - L'Amour is a genuinely private one-cabin wooden junk built for two, and the room can't take an extra bed. That's the point: you get the whole boat, crew and sundeck to yourselves. For families or groups, a multi-cabin junk is the better fit
You're buying exclusivity, not just a room - the entire junk, a dedicated crew (captain, chef, waiter, guide) and a quiet Bai Tu Long route away from the crowds, styled in handcrafted teak and oak. It's a honeymoon / special-occasion product, not a budget overnight
