Indochine Premium Cruise
Indochine Premium is the upmarket, metal-hulled sister ship of the 5-star Indochine Cruise (see indochine-cruise), a modern and stylish overnight boat sailing Halong and Lan Ha Bay. It spreads across five decks for up to 100 guests, adding genuinely rare touches for the bay: an elevator from the basement to the sundeck, a plunge pool, a mini golf course, a piano lounge and a spa, plus two restaurants (Tonkin + An Nam) and the Cochinchine Lounge & Bar. Every cabin is a suite with a private balcony. It runs the classic Halong core - Surprise (Sung Sot) Cave and Titop Island.
Scored by our Halong cruise team, who spend their season on these waters. We rate each boat the way a returning guest would - cabins, dining, crew, itinerary and value - not the way a listing does.
This is one of the better-value five-star boats on the water: every cabin is a genuine suite with a private balcony, the entry Junior runs a generous 34m2, and the elevator, plunge pool and piano lounge give it real hardware most Halong ships lack. The catch is the route and the scale, because despite the Lan Ha label it sails the crowded Halong core to Surprise Cave and Titop with up to 100 guests, so this is polished comfort rather than a quiet, intimate escape. Note too that the entry Junior Suite skips the bathtub and kayaking is charged extra.
