Violet is Heritage Line's French-Indochinese Art-Deco boutique junk - gleaming wooden floors, silks and velvets, hand-picked antiquities, and just six cabins for intensely private, romantic sailings. Three decks hold a two-per-table restaurant, a carved-backboard bar, a top-deck library lounge, a private two-room spa (one couple's room with a steam bath) and a spacious sundeck. Every suite has its own private balcony and Jacuzzi. It runs the slow, remote Bai Tu Long route - Tra San, Thien Canh Son Cave and Vung Vieng village.

Violet is Heritage Line's honeymoon flagship: a six-suite Art-Deco boutique junk where every one of the 32-38m2 cabins has a private balcony and Jacuzzi, plus Italian-marble bathrooms, a couple's spa with a steam bath, and a restaurant that seats each party at its own two-top. It runs the slow 3D2N route through remote, uncrowded Bai Tu Long Bay, which is exactly where tiny boutique boats shine. Two honest caveats: it is a three-deck junk with stairs only (and a roughly 100-step cave hike), and the cabin rate excludes entrance fees, taxes and Hanoi transfers, so budget those on top. With just six cabins it is intensely private but books out fast, and these prices are indicative.

- Limousine pickup in the Old Quarter ~08:00-08:30 (add-on), check-in at the Tuan Chau lounge 11:30, speedboat to the Violet, welcome aboard + cruise-director presentation on the region, lunch and free time on the terrace as the ship sails into Bai Tu Long
- Afternoon: kayak the peaceful Tra San area, then sunshine and drinks on the sun terrace
- Evening: dinner in the restaurant, then the library, sundeck or squid fishing
Thien Canh Son Cave - Vung Vieng Village

- Bai Tu Long Bay is remote and serene, but the Tra San kayak, Thien Canh Son Cave hike and beach swim are weather-dependent. Winter (Dec-Feb) is cool and misty; summer storms can shorten or reschedule sailings.
