A day on Halong Bay
Hotel pickup (Hanoi Old Quarter)
Shuttle bus (booked separately) meets you at your hotel.
Board at Tuan Chau Harbor (Lot 27)
Check in and board Amethyst Day Cruise; welcome drink as the cruise departs, passing Dog Rock, Duck Rock and Thumb Rock.
Midday - Buffet lunch
A large buffet featuring seafood and traditional Vietnamese food.
Early afternoon - Sung Sot Cave
Explore the largest and most beautiful cave in Halong Bay (~1 hour), two main chambers with animal/plant-shaped formations.
Afternoon - Luon Cave
Kayaking or bamboo boating (~30 min) into a large circular lake with crystal-clear water and limestone cliffs.
Afternoon - Titov Island
Sandy beach, clear water, panoramic views; climb the hill or swim and sunbathe.
Afternoon - Sunset party
Vietnamese tea, coffee, fresh fruit and snacks on the sundeck or in the jacuzzi; cruise passes the Hoa Cuong area.
Arrive back Tuan Chau port
End of the trip.

It's a relaxed pace - the long day just means more time to unwind on the sundeck or in the jacuzzi between the cave visit, kayaking and Titop Island. Kids do kayaking too, and you can skip the Sung Sot Cave climb and stay onboard if the steps are a concern for older travelers
