Halong Serenity Cruise is one of the few Cat Ba day cruises, offering a full-day trip through Lan Ha Bay on a minimalist wooden boat for up to 48 guests across three decks - a premium restaurant, a modern bar lounge, a sundeck, plus a floating pool and two water slides. The route pairs sightseeing (Cai Beo floating village, Viet Hai village) with water activities, and the round-trip Cat Ba Express transfer is included in the price.

Hotel pickup (Cat Ba Express, included)
Shuttle from Hanoi Old Quarter or the Cai Ba Express office to Cat Ba Island; scenic drive through Cat Ba National Park to Beo Pier.
Board & briefing
Welcome drink and cruise briefing; sail into Lan Ha Bay past Cai Beo floating village.
Midday - Lunch onboard
Authentic Vietnamese cuisine (buffet for 40+ guests, set menu for smaller groups).
Afternoon - Viet Hai Village
Electric car or bike to the ancient village; fish-foot massage and local life.
Afternoon - Water activities
Swimming, boat jumping, water slide and kayaking (spot chosen by the captain by weather).
Sunset party
Fresh fruit, biscuits and tea on the sundeck.
Disembark at Beo Pier
Shuttle back to Hanoi, arriving ~19:00.

Serenity is a Lan Ha / Cat Ba cruise, not a standard Halong day boat - the price already includes the full round-trip Cat Ba Express transfer, kayaking and swimming, plus the Viet Hai village visit and the floating pool and water slide. It's a smaller 48-guest boat in a much quieter bay, so you're paying for a more intimate, activity-packed day
Please note children are charged the full adult rate on this cruise, so for families the cost adds up - but the water slide, floating pool and village cycling make it one of the most kid-friendly days on the water. I'm happy to compare it against a cheaper family option if budget is the priority
