Ambassador Signature Cruise
Ambassador Signature Cruise is a modern 5-star ship sailing Lan Ha Bay and Cat Ba Island, from the Ambassador fleet. Across four decks it holds around 39 cabins - all 28m² Ambassador and Executive Balcony cabins plus four 35m² suites (Ambassador Balcony Suites and bow-facing Captain's View Suites with an ocean-view bathtub). It's the only Lan Ha cruise that visits Viet Hai Village on day 1, and its signature is a Michelin-standard dinner (menu by Michelin-starred chef David Gallienne) served on the sundeck with a live band, alongside an onboard water slide, a spa and a Piano Lounge.
Scored by our Halong cruise team, who spend their season on these waters. We rate each boat the way a returning guest would - cabins, dining, crew, itinerary and value - not the way a listing does.
The all-balcony layout is the real draw, with even the entry cabins running a generous 28m2 and the four suites adding a bathtub with a bay view. Dinner genuinely earns its billing, plated to a Michelin-starred chef's menu out on the sundeck with a live band most nights. Just know this is a larger 39-cabin ship rather than an intimate boutique boat, there is no lift across the four decks, and kayaking is a paid extra rather than included.
