Hermes Cruise
Hermes Cruise is a 5-star boat launched in 2023, sailing the classic core of Halong Bay. Four decks hold 18 spacious cabins, two outdoor four-season jacuzzis, a high-class restaurant, a spa with two massage tables, and a near-600m² sundeck with an outdoor bar and music stage. Every suite has a private balcony; the Royal and President Suites open onto expansive stern and bow views. It runs the iconic route - Luon Cave, Titop Island and Sung Sot Cave.
Scored by our Halong cruise team, who spend their season on these waters. We rate each boat the way a returning guest would - cabins, dining, crew, itinerary and value - not the way a listing does.
One of the newer boats on the bay: Hermes launched in 2023 as a five-star, all-suite ship where every cabin opens onto a private balcony, from a modest 28m2 Junior up to a 64m2 President with a round bed. Two four-season jacuzzis and a near 600m2 sundeck give it real deck life, and at roughly $157 a head it is genuinely good value for a boat this new and this well specced. The trade-offs are real: it sails the classic Halong core route, so expect the busy Titop and Sung Sot crowds rather than the quieter Lan Ha or Bai Tu Long water, and with four decks and stairs only it is not the pick for anyone who needs a lift. Note the rates here are indicative, not yet confirmed with the operator.
