Grand Pioneers
The largest luxury vessel on Halong Bay - a 6-star super-yacht launched in 2023 by Elegance Hospitality Group (rebranded from Essence Grand). Two ships, Grand Pioneers I and II, carry around 320 guests total across seven decks. It's resort-scale at sea: an all-weather infinity saltwater pool with a pool bar, a spa and sauna, a fully-equipped gym, a kids club, 3D golf, a cinema, a cigar and wine lounge and a sky bar. Cabins run from 30m² Ocean Suites up to a 150m² Owner's Suite with a 200m² terrace.
Scored by our Halong cruise team, who spend their season on these waters. We rate each boat the way a returning guest would - cabins, dining, crew, itinerary and value - not the way a listing does.
This is the biggest and most amenity-loaded vessel on Halong, and it shows: even the entry Ocean Suite runs a generous 30m2 with a marble bathroom, and the seven decks pack an all-weather infinity pool, spa, cinema, 3D golf and kids club that a small boat simply cannot match. The trade-off is scale - with roughly 320 guests across the two ships and a route through the busy Luon, Titop and Sung Sot core, it reads more floating resort than intimate hideaway. Come for the facilities and the family-friendly space, not for a quiet, private corner of the bay.

Yes - it's the same ship, rebranded as Grand Pioneers. It's a 6-star super-yacht launched in 2023, the largest luxury vessel on Halong Bay, so it's a big step up from a classic small cruise
It's large - two ships carrying around 320 guests total - but that buys facilities a small boat can't: an all-weather infinity pool, a kids club, 3D golf, a cinema and a sky bar. If you want resort-style amenities at sea, it delivers; if you want intimate, a boutique boat fits better
