Ambassador Cruise
Ambassador Cruise is a pioneer large-scale luxury overnight boat on Halong Bay - up to ~120 guests across 46 staterooms and 5 decks. It's known for Michelin-standard menus and authentic Indian cuisine, live-band dinner parties, an outdoor jacuzzi pool, twin 360° sundecks, a 7m glass bridge, a piano lounge and six spa rooms. The romantic, service-heavy positioning makes it a honeymoon favourite.
Scored by our Halong cruise team, who spend their season on these waters. We rate each boat the way a returning guest would - cabins, dining, crew, itinerary and value - not the way a listing does.
The 30m2 balcony cabins are among the roomiest on the bay, and the outdoor jacuzzi pool, six spa rooms and Michelin-standard dinners with a live band give this ship genuine resort scale, with authentic Indian cuisine that most junks can't match. The honest caveat is size: at up to 120 guests this is a floating hotel rather than an intimate junk, and it works the busy central Halong channel past Sung Sot and Titop instead of the quieter Lan Ha or Bai Tu Long waters. Best for couples and families who want amenities, buzz and a dress-up dinner over solitude.
